Abstract

The role of government is all actions and policies carried out by regional governments in carrying out their duties, authorities and obligations, in this case are all actions and policies carried out by local governments in carrying out their duties, authorities and obligations in carrying out public order and peace in their regions in accordance with their duties. and its function as a protector and servant of society.This type of research is a type of qualitative research, namely the type of research used to examine the conditions of natural objects, as opposed to experiments, where the researcher is the key instrument, data collection techniques are carried out by observation and interviews.This study aims to obtain an overview of the role of the Silalahi II Village Government in obtaining Tourism Village Labeling in 2022 and the factors that hinder the Silalahi II Village Government in obtaining a Tourism Village. The results of this study indicate that the role of the Silalahi II Village Government is as a Facilitator, namely carrying out outreach, forming tourism awareness, and building facilities and infrastructure. and Regulators namely rules and prohibitions. Factors that hinder the village government in obtaining the Tourism Village label are the lack of attention from the local government, as well as the cons with the village community
