Employee performance is inseparable from the company`s success, as the
performance of a company is determined primarily by the performance of its
employees. Therefore, in order to improve the company's performance, the
employee's performance should be considered.. Paying attention to the kaizen
culture and providing good compensation within the organization is very important,
where cultural emphasis is used as a guide in shaping the attitudes and behavior of
each member involved in the organization and providing good compensation can
improve employee performance.
This study aims to determine the effect of kaizen culture and compensation
on employee performance at Lubuk Pakam Grand Medistra Hospital. The influence
between Kaizen culture and compensation will be analyzed partially and
simultaneously on employee performance.
The form of research used in this research is quantitative research with an
associative approach. Sampling was carried out through a non-probability
sampling technique using 60 respondents as a sample. The primary data used in
this study was obtained by distributing questionnaires directly while the secondary
data was obtained through previous research. The data analysis method used is
validity test, reliability test, classic assumption test, multiple linear regression
analysis, and hypothesis testing.
The results of the study show that the culture of kaizen and compensation
influences employee performance. The results of data processing can be seen that
the R value is equal to 0.868, where the value of this coefficient shows the
relationship between Kaizen Culture and compensation on performance which is
quite close because the closer the R value is to one, the better the model is used.
The Adjusted R Square value or the coefficient of determination value above shows
that the variable compensation, Kaizen culture can explain the performance
variable by 74.5%, while the remaining 25.5% is influenced by other variables not
explained in this study. Therefore, the culture of kaizen and compensation owned
by employees is sufficient to explain employee performance. The better the kaizen
culture and compensation for employees in the company, the better employee
performance will be.
