dc.description.abstractPT. Pos Indonesia is a governmental organization that facilitates the community with means of communication such as letters and goods delivery services. With the advancement of digital technology today, PT. Pos Indonesia not only serves mail delivery and delivery of goods, but also receives such as western union, payment of electricity bills, water bill, etc. In transformational leadership, leaders must have the ability to renew several aspects of human resources within an organization consisting of work motivation, work environment, work patterns, and work values so that employees can maximize performance to the organization’s goals. The purpose of this research to understand the application of transformational leadership by executive managers at Kantor Pos Kisaran and to determine the role of digital transformation in increasing organizational ef ectiveness. This research uses a descriptive qualitative methode to explore in-depth information. Determination of informants was carried out through a purposive sampling technique and used 3 informants as sources of information. Primary data in this study were obtained from respondents by conducting structured interviews with informants while secondary data was obtained from literature reviews, based on observations made by researcher, as well as secondary data obtained from documents obtained in the field during the research. Data analysis in qualitative research is carried out continuously until the data being analyzed is saturated. The results of the study concluded that: (1) In the application of leadership at the Kantor Pos Kisaran, executive managers do not apply a transformational leadership style but rather apply mixed leadership. (2) The application of digital transformation carried out by Kantor Pos Kisaran is quite good but less than optimal, there are several mistakes made by Kantor Pos Kisaran.en_US
