    Abstract
This study raises the title Motivation and Feminization and the Breakthrough of Women Participating in Archery at the University of Sumatra Archery Student Activity Unit (UKM). In this study, the research method used is descriptive with a qualitative approach. This study aims to find out about the motivation and feminization and breakthroughs of women participating in Archery UKM, University of North Sumatra. Data analysis in this study uses the Miles and Huberman models, namely by carrying out the stages of data collection, data reduction, data presentation and conclusions. The results of the study showed: 1) found that the motivation of women to join the Archery UKM at the University of North Sumatra was to build relationships, because of Islamic values and wanting to become athletes. 2) Women in the USU Archery UKM have broken down the social construction regarding archery as the realm of men. However, it can be proven that in USU's Archery UKM there is feminization, namely the shift in roles that were previously dominated by men, where in the University of North Sumatra Archery UKM the number of women dominates compared to the number of men.
