Peran Dinas Pemberdayaan Perempuan, Perlindungan Anak dan Pemberdayaan Masyarakat dalam Menjalankan Rencana Strategis (RENSTRA) Tentang Penanganan Kekerasan dalam Rumah Tangga (KDRT) di Kota Medan Tahun 2021-2022

Abstract

The family is a social institution that functions to improve all the abilities that exist in each individual. Even so, it is not uncommon in the family for activities that cause violence to occur by one family member against another family member which results in persecution, rape and even murder, we usually know this as domestic violence, especially in the city of Medan. 2021-2022. This research wants to find out what is the role of the Medan City Government Service for Women's Empowerment, Child Protection and Community Empowerment in 2021-2022. Researchers also look at responses and suggestions that can be implemented in order to achieve justice and gender equality in city/district government. This research used a descriptive method with a qualitative research type, and used data collection techniques in the form of interviews and literature/document studies. To answer the research questions, the researcher uses Role Theory and Post-Modern Feminism. Based on the results of this study, it was concluded that the role of the Office of Women's Empowerment, Child Protection and Community Empowerment in handling domestic violence in Medan City in carrying out the strategic plan (RENSTRA) on domestic violence (KDRT) in Medan City in 2021-2022 has not gone well because it has not there are programs that really focus on violence against women
