Work loyalty produced by employees is one of the success factors of an
organization, this is because the productivity produced by employees becomes a
company reference in improving employee performance. Employees will give a
loyal attitude to the company if their needs are met at work. The needs that must be
met are in the form of career development and providing motivation from superiors
to employees. However, in recent years employee loyalty has decreased due to a
decrease in the number of employees in the company and lack of information about
career development and superiors who rarely monitor employee work. So that
employee loyalty has not been maximally felt by the company.
This study aims to analyze how the influence of career development and
work motivation on the work loyalty of PT. Perkebunan Nusantara III Medan
General Section employees. The effect of career development and work motivation
will be analyzed partially and srimultantly on employee work loyalty.
The form of research used in this study is quantitative research with an
associative approach. Sampling was carried out through a saturated sampling
technique with 38 respondents as samples. The primary data used in this study was
obtained by distributing questionnaires directly while skunder data was obtained
through literature studies. The data analysis methods used are validity tests,
reliability tests, classical assumption tests, multiple linear regression tests, and
hypothesis tests.
The results of the study showed that career development variables (X1) and
work motivation (X2) had a significant effect on employee work loyalty and all
independent variables simultaneously affected employee performance. The
determinant coefficient test shows that there is a fairly close relationship between
career development and work motivation on employee work loyalty with an R value
of 0.636. Through the Adjusted R Square value, it is also known that career
development and work motivation variables contribute 37% to employee work
loyalty variables, while the remaining 63% is influenced by other variables that are
not discussed in this study.
