The banking industry is part of the national economy. Banks become
partners in conducting financial transactions by almost all business sectors.
Banking activity in Indonesia has dropped dramatically since the Covid-19
pandemic hit. Banking performance can be assessed based on the level of bad
loans, the higher the level of bad loans, the lower the bank's performance.
Banking performance can be assisted by employee performance. In realizing good
employee performance requires commitment from all elements within the
company. This commitment can be compiled in the form of a code of ethics for
employees in carrying out their duties. Besides that managing employee morale is
important in realizing good performance, boredom is a problem for employees
because they always face the same task. This can be done by rotating jobs to
refresh employees, but this is often opposed because it is considered to hamper
the stability of employee careers.
This research was conducted at PT Bank Tabungan Negara KC Medan.
The reason for choosing this place, in the financial reports of 4 state-owned banks
(BRI, Mandiri, BNI, BTN) PT Bank Tabungan Negara has the highest level of
NPL (Non Performing Loan) or bad loans. This is because the company began to
focus on the consumer credit segment so that the handling of bad loans decreased
slightly
This study uses a quantitative method with an associative approach. The
sampling technique was random sampling and involved 46 respondents. Primary
data was obtained directly by distributing questionnaires through gform while
secondary data was obtained through library research. Data analysis methods
used are validity test, reliability test, classic assumption test, multiple linear
regression analysis, and hypothesis testing.
The results of this study indicate that the code of ethics variable (X1) has a
significant effect on employee performance, the role and play system variable
(X2) also has a significant effect on employee performance. Likewise the variables
X1 and X2 simultaneously (simultaneously) affect employee performance (Y). The
coefficient of determination test shows that there is a fairly close relationship
between the code of ethics and roles and games on employee performance with a
value of 84% which means that the relationship is very close. In addition, the
adjusted R value was obtained which showed a contribution of 69%.
