The success of an organization or company is influenced by the
performance of individual employees, so that every organization seeks to manage
its human resources. Employee performance can be said to be maximized if there
is full support from the organization and a sense of employee engagement in the
work process.
This study aims to analyze how the influence of perceptions of
organizational support and work involvement on the performance of employees of
PT Bank Tabungan Negara (Persero) Medan Branch Office. The influence
between perceived organizational support and work engagement will be analyzed
partially and simultaneously on employee performance.
The research method used in this research is quantitative research with an
associative approach. The population in this study are employees of PT. State
Savings Bank Medan Branch Office, totaling 158 people. Sampling was carried
out through probability sampling technique with a simple random sampling
model, using the Slovin formula with a total of 61 respondents. The data
collection method used in this study was primary data obtained by observation,
interviews and distributing questionnaires while secondary data was obtained
through library research. The analytical method used is validity test, reliability
test, classic assumption test, multiple linear analysis, and hypothesis testing.
The results of the research conducted show that the variables perceived
organizational support and work engagement have a partial and significant effect
on employee performance. The variables perceived organizational support and
work engagement also have a simultaneous and significant effect on employee
performance. The resulting coefficient value shows that the relationship between
the variables perceived organizational support and work engagement on
employee performance is very strong with an R value of 0.646 or 64.6%. Adjusted
R Square value is also known that the variable perceptions of organizational
support and work involvement can explain employee performance variables of
39.7% while the remaining 60.3% is influenced by other variables not explained
in this study.
