dc.description.abstractThe induction motor is a mainstay of modern electric propulsion industrial systems, the reason for this induction motor is in great demand and its distribution is very wide in the market because of its low cost, simplicity, durability, ease of manufacture, brushless cage motor and low weight/power ratio, but induction motor This has a weakness, namely the absorption of reactive power which is the main problem of induction motors, the reactive power in the electrical network must be balanced, or the system voltage will drop, the equipment will be damaged which will reduce the power factor. The low power factor will cause a drop in voltage and channel losses to be felt. Therefore, this study will design a system to increase the power factor of the system, reactive power must be injected into the excitation source using a capacitor bank. The results showed that this automatic power factor improvement system could be systematically integrated with a maximum reactive power compensation of around 1,952.98 VAR which could increase the power factor from around 0.45 to 0.84. The success of the power factor improvement system with an error percentage of measurement results below 5% has an accuracy of around 90%.en_US
