dc.description.abstract | Along with the times, the use of bamboo materials as a construction material has been displaced by modern materials such as reinforced concrete, precast and steel materials. The use of bamboo materials as scaffolding has been widely used in local construction for decades. The nature of bamboo which has high flexibility, high growth speed, and low price has been widely appreciated by several literatures. Scaffolding modeling with a single section column has been widely used, therefore this study aims to determine the elastic modulus and critical P values for single and double section bamboo columns both experimentally and theoretically. The experimental results showed that the elastic modulus value of Betung bamboo obtained from Buluh Awar was 8143.28 MPa, then the Critical P value of single-section bamboo was 135.069 kN; 99,600 kN ; 94.709 kN and in double section bamboo 423.648 kN; 454,361 kN; 419,214 kN. Meanwhile, Euler's theoretical results show a critical P value for a single section of 89,310 kN; 70,037 kN; 83,458 kN and a double cross section of 340,748 kN; 382,281 kN; 313,440 kN. While the Critical P value using the Chung and Chan method for a single cross section obtained a value of 108,046 kN; 98,868 kN; 84,938 kN and a double cross section of 398,641 kN; 450,482 kN; 386,988 kN. | en_US |
