dc.description.abstract | The research aims to find out and analyze the effects of economic growth, human development index, population growth, and unemployment rate on poverty in North Sumatera Province. The research employs quantitative data which 15 secondary data The research object is all regencies/municipalities in North Sumatera Province consisting of 33 regencies/municipalities. The research employs panel data by combining a 6-year- time series and cross-section data from 2015 until 2020 Panel data regression analysis method is used in this research using the Eviews 10 analysis tool. The result obtained based on the Panel data regression analysis method indicates that economic growth, human development index. population growth, and unemployment rate simultaneously affect poverty. Partially economic growth negatively and significantly affects poverty, human development index negatively and significantly affects poverty population growth positively and significantly affects poverty, and unemployment rate positively and significantly affects poverty. This research result implies that the government is expected to be more serious in creating the investment climate by developing the Special Economic Zone (KEK) and Industrial Zone (KI), improving the state performance through Family Hope Program (PKH), implementing Family Panning Program (KB), and Postponing Marriage Time to suppress the population growth, and taking advantage of Pre-Employment Card to lower the unemployment rate. | en_US |
