Human Capital Management is a concept of human resources which
explains that humans in an organization are very important assets with all the
capabilities they have to contribute to business development in the company. PT.
Grab Technology Indonesia Medan Branch realizes this, so the company invests in
the Grabbers by providing management practices that in accordance with the
company's needs to hone and add value and quality for employees like an
entrepreneur.
The purpose of this study is to analyze the use of a practice-based approach
against how human capital management implemented by Grabbers effect on
business development at PT. Grab Technology Indonesia Medan Branch.
This study uses a descriptive qualitative method that purpose to explain the
phenomena that occur. As for the data collection technique in this study, namely
through the observation process while the researcher carried out the internship
program at PT. Grab Technology Indonesia Medan Branch. Then through an
interview process with informants who are employees at the company consisting of
key informants, main informants, and supporting informants as well as some
documentation. The analysis technique in this research uses data reduction process,
presentation and discussion.
The results of this study indicate that human capital management
implemented by Grabbers is running quite well and has an effect on business
development at PT. Grab Technology Indonesia Medan Branch. This can be seen
from the progress of the company's business development over the last five years
which tends to increase steadily. Although it is done with a centralized system by
People Operations (POPS) at the Grab Indonesia Head Office in Jakarta. However,
there are still some problems that arise from human capital management itself
caused by centralized HR management and a fast-paced environment work culture.
Therefore, it is necessary to evaluate the management system and provide an
understanding related to human capital management company to the Grabbers of
PT. Grab Technology Indonesia Medan Branch.
