dc.description.abstract | Innovation has been increasing along with the development of time, one of which is
about efficient and environmentally friendly technology. One rapidly developing
technology today is signals, and it cannot be denied that signals are very important
nowadays. For example, current communication media cannot be separated from signals.
A signal can be generated from a signal generator, which is an electronic circuit. A circuit
that can generate an ultrasonic signal consists of several components that can convert DC
current into a signal with a specific frequency. One circuit that can function as a signal
wave generator is by using ICL8038. The ICL8038 signal generator circuit is a simple
circuit that works with a supply of 12V to 15VDC and can produce signals with good
quality, stability, and reasonable accuracy. ICL8038 can generate signals ranging from
5Hz to 400kHz with sinusoidal, square, or triangular waveforms as needed. Testing also
yielded results that can be concluded that the signal generator circuit successfully
produced the desired waveforms of sinusoidal, square, and triangular waves, as well as
the desired frequencies. However, there were difficulties in adjusting the frequency, which
need to be understood in terms of measurement and application. Additionally, as the
generated frequency increases, the emitted signal becomes denser. This can be seen in the
test data where the input frequencies were set at 100Hz, 1000Hz, and 4000Hz with the
same settings and scale on the oscilloscope. | en_US |
