Perancangan Pusat Rehabilitasi Narkoba dengan Pendekatan Healing Therapeutic Architecture di Limapuluh Kota, Kabupaten Batubara
Abstract
Drug abuse and illegal drugs have entered all levels of society, such as residential
areas, campuses, to schools. Responding to this condition, various efforts have been
made, both repressively, preventively and pre-emptively to adjust to the
environmental conditions being handled and the conditions experienced. The
design of the Drug Rehabilitation Center aims to facilitate the recovery process in
terms of physical health, emotional, psychological and social aspects for victims,
so they can return to society after undergoing the healing process in rehabilitation.
The study methodology used is descriptive qualitative method, with case study
observations and similar themes. The theme applied is Healing Therapeutic
Architecture as a design concept that is structured for a healing environment and
therapeutic environment for building users, as well as providing drug rehabilitation
facilities and infrastructure that are safe, comfortable and reassuring. The concept
of theapuetic as a supporter of healing has 4 ways of maximizing design in buildings
namely Care in community, is a design created that must accommodate and
enhance the process of social interaction between users, Design for domesticity is
a design that can create an atmosphere like at home, social valorisation, namely a
design that is able to maintain user privacy and security, integrated with nature is
a design that maximizes collaboration between spaces. The application of the theme
also relies on the use of natural materials such as wood, natural stone and bamboo
which provide a therapeutic effect for users and maximize natural lighting and
ventilation to minimize energy use in each room by increasing the number of
openings. The Drug Rehabilitation Center is expected to be able to support the
healing of users, reduce crime rates in society, and improve the quality of human
resources
