The period in which school-age children experience brain development and growth is more important than that of adults. Hence why proper preparation of its quality is required. Malnutrition might happen at some point which is caused by lack of nutrition. Adequate food intake and infections become direct variables causing children’s malnutrition. Measurement of nutritional status is closely related to the intake of nutrients obtained by the body that is sufficient for the nutrients given. Improper child personal hygiene and environmental sanitation ignite malnutrition due to deworming. This study analyzed the effect of nutritional adequacy level and deworming (Helminthiasis) on the nutritional status of public elementary school (SDN) students in the Medan Belawan District. It is an observational quantitative research with a cross-sectional design in which dependent and independent variables were studied simultaneously. 178 students of SDN 060962 Belawan I, SDN 060957 Belawan II, SDN 060966 Belawan Bahagia, SDN 064004 Belawan Bahari, and SDN 066669 Belawan Sicanang were set as respondents. The researcher used the bivariate analysis with the simple linear regression test, along with the multivariate analysis with the multiple linear regression test. The results showed that there was an effect positive of the level of energy sufficiency on nutritional status with a on the nutritional status of public elementary school students in Medan Belawan District significance value of 0.000. Furthermore, it was found that there was no effect of the adequacy level of protein, the level of adequacy of fat, the level of adequacy of carbohydrates and helminthiasis on the nutritional status of public elementary school students in Medan Belawan District. It is advisable for schools to monitor the health of school children through the UKS, namely providing early information about healthy and nutritious food, engage in physical activities such as exercise, checking nail hygiene regularly, and monitoring school children's deworming medication.en_US
