dc.description.abstractMedan City is a city that has a fairly dense population. Reporting from the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) the population in Medan City in 2020 reached 2,435,252 people and will continue to grow until 2022. With the large number of residents in Medan City, there are also many young people or teenagers. If we look back, education for young people/adolescents, both academically and socially, is very important in shaping their character. Therefore, in expressing their activities, as well as maximizing the ability to behave and behave in dealing with problems and responding to things, it is necessary to have a forum that can become the center of various activities equipped with educational, non educational, and social facilities, called Youth Center. This forum is expected to be accessed and maximized by young people in Medan City. In designing the Youth Center, the theme of recreational architecture is used. The application of the theme can be seen in the design of the building form and the design of the recreational indoor space so as to provide a pleasant and entertaining atmosphere so that building users can feel comfortable and relaxed in carrying out their activities.en_US
