Pemetaan Kebisingan di Kawasan Kampus Universitas Sumatera Utara Padang Bulan

Abstract

Campus is a place where teaching and learning. The object of study is Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU) Padang Bulan. The disturbance is often encountered in this campus is noise that comes from transportation. The purpose of this study was to analyze the noise level in USU Padang Bulan based on noise level quality standard (KepMenLH No. 48 of 1996), analyzing the mapping of noise level distribution patterns in USU Padang Bulan, determine the noice factors in USU Padang Bulan, and determine control measures that can be taken to reduce noise levels in the campus area of the University of North Sumatera. The calculation results show that the highest ‘day and night noise levels’ (LSM) on 13 December 2022 at 19th point (FEB Class Room) which had 69.42 dBA noise level. Meanwhile, the point with the lowest noise level value is 14th point (FKG Mosque) which had 30.98 dBA noise level. 15 December 2022, the highest ‘day and night noise level’ values at 5th point (Behind the Auditorium) which had 76.54 dBA noise level and the lowest ‘day and night noise level’ point is the 17th point (FMIPA Mosque)which had 37.22 dBA noise level. On the holiday 17 December 2022 the highest ‘day and night noise level’ values at 11th point (in front of the USU Hospital) which had 70.73 dBA noise level and the lowest ‘day and night noise level’ point is the 17th point (FMIPA Mosque).factors that affect noise in the campus area activities outside the lecture hall and transportation. Control that can be done by replacing building materials, planting trees and controlling the recipient.
