Perancangan Vertical Living di Medan Belawan dengan Pendekatan Sustainable Architecture
Abstract
Medan Belawan is one of the rapidly growing industrial cities in North Sumatra.
This condition has caused environmental problems and limited land for housing.
Therefore, vertical living design is one solution to meet the needs for efficient and
environmentally friendly housing. This study aims to design vertical housing in
Medan Belawan using a sustainable architecture approach. The methodology
used includes literature study and field observation to understand the current
environmental conditions and needs, and interviews with experts on vertical living
buildings and the implementation of sustainable architecture to obtain
information in designing. The result of this research is a design of a vertical
building that meets the criteria of sustainable architecture and provides solutions
to environmental problems. The design takes into account aspects such as energy
efficiency, water management, and the use of environmentally friendly materials.
It is hoped that this concept can be a solution to build a green and healthy
environment in Medan Belawan.
