Abstract

The design of an Artspace with a functional architecture approach in Medan City aims to create an art facility that integrates the functions and physical design of the building harmoniously. This research will analyze the needs and preferences of the local art community, and design functional zones that include exhibition areas, performance spaces, art studios, collaborative workspaces, cafes, and meeting rooms. The functional architecture approach will ensure a close connection between these functions, while considering aspects of security, accessibility, and comfort for visitors and artists.
