Penerapan Budaya Kerja 5S di CV. Melpura Jaya Teknik
Abstract
Production activities are influenced by work culture. Work culture is a habitual
trait in a group that is reflected in attitudes into action behaviors that are
manifested as work. The work culture that is applied to improve the quality of the
work environment is the 5S work culture (Seiri, Seiton, Seiso, Seiketsu, and
Shitsuke). This research was conducted at CV Melpura Jaya Tehnik which is one
of the companies engaged in manufacturing metal-based object processing. The
purpose of this study is to analyze the actual work environment and provide
suggestions for improvements to the finished product warehouse area using the 5S
concept. This research was conducted by distributing questionnaires to 6
employees. After that, the evaluation results were calculated for Seiri, Seiton, Seiso,
Seiketsu, and Shitsuke. The results show that the implementation of Seiri is included
in the "good" category with a percentage of 52.50%, the implementation of Seiton
is included in the "good" category with a percentage of 53.34%, the implementation
of Seiso is included in the "poor" category with a percentage of 47.50%, the
implementation of Seiketsu is included in the "not good" category with a percentage
of 43.34%, and the implementation of Shitsuke is included in the "poor" category
with the lowest percentage of 35%. There are 13 suggestions for improvement that
can be given based on the condition of the finished product warehouse.
