Perancangan Youth Community Center di Percut Sei Tuan dengan Pendekatan Arsitektur Perilaku

Abstract

Youth Community Center is a place specifically for teenagers. The main objective of the Youth Community Center is to provide a place for youth to do activities and interact with their friends, develop their interests and talents, and help them prepare for the future. Besides that, it also helps reduce the problems that are often faced by teenagers, such as crime problems, health problems, and other social problems. In general, the Youth Community Center is a solution to youth problems and plays an important role in helping youth prepare themselves for a bright future. The design theme uses the concept of Behavioral Architecture. Behavioral architecture is a humane architecture, which is able to understand and accommodate human behavior captured from various kinds of behavior, be it the behavior of creators, observers, and also the behavior of the natural surroundings (Mangunwijaya, Y.B., 1988). Based on this understanding, it can be seen that behavioral architecture is an approach that investigates the relationship between human behavior and the architectural environment as a consideration for design implementation. Application of the design will lead to further improvement of the architectural environment which is able to accommodate patterns of behavior in accordance with the needs of activity actors.
