Tourism is one aspect that supports the economy of a region. Tourism that utilizes natural potential is one of the many popular tours to visit. The Lake Toba tourist area is one of the tourism areas that has the potential to be on a world scale. Unfortunately, this potential has not been widely used recreationally, such as tourist areas, hotels or resorts. Pangururan District is an area close to a world-scale tourist area (ITMP 2018), being the chosen location for resort design with the application of recreational architecture. In designing this resort, in addition to designing buildings that can function properly, of course, you have to take advantage of the potentials in the design site area without having a bad impact later. Therefore, a recreative architectural approach is applied to the design project due to its design principles that are suitable for the project site. The purpose of this design is to create a recreational resort by exploiting the natural potential at the design location.en_US
