The frequent occurrence of blackouts in the distribution network, causing losses
for consumers. The blackout makes the value of the reliability of a network worse. The
value of the reliability of the distribution network itself is influenced by the frequency and
duration of failures that occur in the network. At PT. PLN (Persero) UP3 Rengat ULP
Rengat Kota has relocated the feeder switch to improve network reliability. Relocating this
feeder switch will reduce the value of SAIFI and SAIDI. In this thesis, to analyze the results
of the feeder switch relocation that has been carried out, several methods are used, namely
the Section Technique method, the Reliability Network Equivalent Approach (RNEA)
method, and the Section Technique-Reliability Index Assessment (RIA) method. By
comparing the results before and after relocating the feeder switch at the Munchen Feeder
using these 3 methods and also the Reliability Assessment simulation on ETAP 19.0.1, the
results of SAIFI and SAIDI values are getting better. With the feeder switch relocation
results, using the Section Technique method with SAIFI worth 2,499 times/year and SAIDI
worth 6,342 hours/year, for the Reliability Network Equivalent Approach (RNEA) method
with SAIFI worth 2,516 times/year and SAIDI worth 6,408 hours/year, on the Section
Technique - Reliability Index Assessment (RIA) with SAIFI worth 2,536 times/year and
SAIDI worth 6,436 hours/year, and with ETAP 19.0.1, SAIFI worth 2,661 times/year and
SAIDI worth 7,816 hours/year.
