dc.description.abstract | Oxygen is the most abundant element on earth. Oxygen fills 90% of the
water on earth, two-thirds of the human body. Metabolic processes in humans
mostly involve oxygen gas (O2) to be able to produce energy that will be used to
carry out daily activities. In the medical field, oxygen is a medium needed by a
patient during treatment or treatment, where oxygen is used as an aid for breathing.
The usual problem with giving oxygen is running out of oxygen without the medical
staff noticing it. In general, officers can only check the contents of the oxygen
cylinder from the oxygen regulator directly. Therefore, an automatic tool is needed
to monitor the volume contents of oxygen cylinders indirectly so that the oxygen
content can be monitored at any time.
A microcontroller-based oxygen cylinder volume monitoring tool using the
Arduino UNO type with the ESP 8266 microcontroller that was made has been
successful and is able to read the percentage of oxygen that enters the tube. Within
2 minutes, the tool is able to read the percentage of oxygen pressure that enters the
tube and can be sent directly to the Telegram application. The tool created can help
medical staff or families to find out the volume of oxygen in patients so that they
can more effectively carry out monitoring anytime and anywhere. | en_US |
