    Abstract
Pollutants and climate will affect the reliability of an insulator and the voltage distribution in the insulator strings. Along with time, the insulator will be damaged or broken called a stub. The purpose of this research was to determine the effect of the stub position and installation angle on the voltage distribution of glass insulator strings with clean, polluted and rain conditions. This research was conducted by experimental methods in the laboratory. Based on the analysis carried out, it can be seen that the influence of the stub position on the voltage distribution of insulator strings under various conditions is the same, that is, it causes the distribution of insulator strings voltages to be uneven. But if the stub position is away from the phase wire, the stub voltage will be smaller. The smallest percentage of voltage carried by the stub is in polluted conditions with an installation angle of 45° at the 3 position which is 0.12%. While the largest percentage of voltage carried by the stub is in clean conditions with an installation angle of 0° at the i position which is 45.58%. The best flatness factor is in polluted conditions with 45° installation angle and i stub position are 30.67%. Meanwhile, the worst flatness factor is in clean conditions with 45° installation angle and a ii stub position are 73.18%.
