The Combined Cycle Power Plant (CCPP) of PLN Belawan Ltd. Is the main provider for electricity needs in Northern Sumatra. In its operational activities, this CCPP produces conventional emissions (SO2, NO2 and Total Suspended Particulate), both from immovable sources (chimneys) and mobile sources (transportation). The annual conventional emission load from all this CCPP activities are 814 tons of SO2/year, 2,968 tons of NO2/year, and 178 tons of TSP/year. The contribution of mobile sources are 0.0005% on SO2 emission load, 0.0033% on NO2 emission load, and 0.0117% on TSP emission load. While the contribution of immovable sources is 99.9995% for SO2 emission load, 99.9967% for NO2 emission load, and 99.9883% for TSP emission load. The fuel switching, from diesel to natural gas, in the operation of this CCPP has a real impact to reduce the emission load from the activities of immovable sources. The recommended effort to control this CCPP emission load is formed on reduction option, both for immovable sources and for mobile sources.
