    Abstract
The purpose of this study is the development of conductometer and its application in plant-based oil via Wenner method as an early preventive step in reducing environmental damage due to plant-based oil byproduct, such as as damage in water ecosystem and soil contamination. The main components involved in the development of this device are the use of ADS1115, DS18B20 temperature sensor, and an IoT-based system. The development of this conductivity measuring device was carried out using a power supply with a maximum voltage of 12 volts. The waste oil samples used in this study were waste vegetable oil derived from either palm oil or recycled packaging of palm-based cooking oil that have been used for frying fish(ranging from one to five times of reuse with the same oil). The conductivity sensor readings for waste vegetable oil increased gradually after each round of frying: 44.4 mV after one rounds with currents of 0,0040 mA, 49.8 mV after two rounds with currents of 0,0056 mA, 53.2 mV after three rounds with currents of 0,0068 mA , 55.7 mV after four rounds with curretns of 0,0079 mA, and 59.6 mV after five rounds with currents of 0,0091 mA. In terms of temperature and conductivity, the maximum values recorded by the sensor for waste vegetable oil heated to temperatures of 30, 60, and 90oC were 53,08 mV, 75.25 mV, and 93,77 mV with currents of 0,008 mA, 0,027 mA and 0,088 mA respectively. So that conductivity values at temperatures of 30, 60 and 90 0 C were obtained at 1,92×10 -2 μS/cm, 4,57×10 -2 μS/cm and 11,95×10 -2 μS/cm. These results were displayed on an LCD screen and a smartphone. It can be concluded that the higher the voltage value generated by the sensor, the greater the conductivity value.
