Revitalisasi Budaya melalui Pelestarian Gondang Sabangunan oleh Sanggar Seni Dalloid di Desa Tipang Kecamatan Baktiraja Kabupaten Humbang Hasundutan

Abstract

Cultural revitalization can be defined as a planned, continuous and intentional effort so that the cultural values are not only understood by the owners, but also generate all forms of creativity in everyday life and in facing various challenges. Sanggar Seni Dalloid focuses on cultural revitalization through the preservation of the gondang sadinding. Prior to the founding of the Sanggar Seni Dalloid in Tipang Village, things like mamalu ogung were taboo for the community and even became an object of ridicule for the community because many thought this was a trivial thing to do, because it conflicted with the beliefs of the people in Tipang Village. Therefore, the purpose of the authors of conducting research is to find out what efforts have been made by the Sanggar Seni Dalloid in revitalizing culture in preserving the gondang sadinding in Tipang Village and to find out the process of revitalizing the gondang sadinding tradition in the Toba Batak community in Tipang Village. To answer this problem, the theory of cultural revitalization put forward by Wallace and Theory and Method in Ethnomusicology put forward by Bruno Nettl are used to answer this problem. The method that the authors use in this study is a qualitative method obtained from field research. The results obtained in this research are cultural revitalization through the preservation of the gondang sadinding in the Toba Batak community in Tipang Village, a part of the community is now starting to support the revitalization of the gondang sadinding culture which is being carried out by the Sanggar Seni Dalloid. His form of support is in the form of allowing his children to practice at the Sanggar Seni Dalloid. However, because many people in Tipang Village still think that this tradition is done to worship idols. In conclusion, the community can accept this tradition if it is carried out in attractions or performances, such as when welcoming guests who come to visit Tipang Village or art performances by the Sanngar Seni Dalloid.
