Deskripsi Pertunjukan Grup Sedalanen Etnik pada Kegiatan Roving Seminar Kekayaan Intelektual di Medan Tahun 2022

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to describe the performances of the Sedalanen Etnik group in the intellectual property seminar roving activities in Medan in 2022, and to analyze and transcribe the song "Sungguh Indah Indonesia" by the music of the Sedalanen Etnik group. This study uses a qualitative research method that is descriptive in nature from the data that has been collected. In collecting data, the authors conducted field work which covered several aspects including: interviews, visual documentation, and video recording. In data analysis, the author uses performance theory, in this theory there are 7 things that must be studied, namely: limited performance time, the beginning and end of the show, organized activity events, a group of players, a group of spectators, the venue, the opportunity to show it, and also the theory of weighted scale in analyzing melodic structures. The results obtained from this study are that the show Sedalanen Etnik departs from the spirit of World Music, or the spirit of creating music from various cultures, but in presenting the show it is alternative, so that it can be translated again, namely an integration of various traditional music into alternative music. The results obtained next are a transcription of a song by Sedalanen Etnik, in order to study a theme song, namely in this work it has Indonesian lyrics but the music is accompanied by traditional sounds, and analyzes the melodic structure and transcription.
