Evaluasi Pelayanan Perpustakaan Keliling pada Dinas Perpustakaan dan Kearsipan Kabupaten Asahan
Abstract
The objective of this study is to determine the evaluation of mobile library services at the Library and Archives Agency of Asahan Regency. The study uses a descriptive qualitative research method. There are 9 informants in this study, that are determined using purposive sampling, namely the head of the library service, mobile library officers, teachers, 6th-grade elementary school students (3 people). and the community (3 people). Data analysis techniques are data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion. Research data are collected through observation. interviews, and documentation Data testing are carried out using source triangulation, technical triangulation, and time triangulation. The results show that mobile library services at the Library and Archives Agency of Asahar Regency, based on the 2013 Mobile Library Implementation Guidelines issued by the National Library of Indonesia, have 7 categories. First, the mobile library human resources in Asahan Regency apply hospitality, courtesy, and good behavior to users during the service program. Second, the total mobile library collection of Asahan Regency is 11,618 copies consisting of 4,180 book titles Third, the facilities and infrastructure employed are four-wheeled and six-wheeled vehicles equipped with various vehicle support equipment. Fourth, the types of services in the mobile library of Asahan Regency consist of circulation/borrowing services and reference services. The library circulation service around Asahan Regency is currently not working and is not making borrowing due to the Covid-19 pandemic, Fifth, the Asahan Regency mobile library has a service program in the form of reading books. Sixth, the service system in the Asahan Regency Mobile Library uses an open service system. Finally, the types of statistics owned by the mobile library in Asahan Regency are statistics on the number of visitors and statistics on the number of borrowings Statistically, the number of visitors in recent years to the mobile library in Asahan Regency has decreased, and there is no statistic on the number of borrowings during the Covid pandemic as borrowing services are not applicable.
