Keintransitifan Terbelah dalam Novel Mozaik-Mozaik Terindah Karya Andrea Hirata
Abstract
This research describes the types of non-irregative and non-accusative verbs in the novel Mozaik-mosaik Terindah by Andrea Hirata. Ergativity theory by Dixon is applied to determine non-ergativity and non-accusative verbs. The data used is written data. Data was collected using the observation method, then analyzed using the agih method. Research results are presented using formal and informal methods. From this research, it was found that intransitive verbs in the novel Mozaik-mosaik Terindah by Andrea Hirata were divided into 2 types, namely (1) the type of non-transitive verb which was found to be state verbs: cognition, knowledge, emotion, perception; process: bodily events and processes; action: movement (2) non-accusative verb types found state verbs: knowledge; process: events and movements (not agentive); action: movement (agentive) and displacement. The type of non-irregative verb is identified if S in the intransitive sentence corresponds to A in the transitive sentence. The non-curative verb type is identified by means of S in the intransitive sentence corresponding to P in the transitive sentence.
