Struktur Semantis Verba Sensasi Bahasa Aceh
Abstract
This research reveals the categorization and meaning of Acehnese sensation verbs. The categorization and meaning of Acehnese sensation verbs are analyzed using natural semantic metalanguage theory (MSA). This research use desciptive qualitative approach. Data collection in this research used listening methods and skill methods and several techniques. Presentation of data results is carried out using formal and informal methods. The research results show that Acehnese sensation verbs consist of two main categories, namely stative sensation verbs (VSS) which are marked with the feature [-control, -volition] and active sensation verbs (VSA) which are marked [+control, +volition]. VSS consists of five subcategories, namely (1) 'something bad happened to X's body', (2) 'something bad happened inside X's body', (3) 'Y did something to X's body', ( 4) 'X feels something bad about someone/something', and (5) 'X doesn't want something like this to happen'. The VSA subcategory consists of five, namely (1) 'something good happens to X's body', (2) 'X wants something good to happen to his body', (3) 'X does something to something', (4) ' X does something with his mouth [m]', and (5) 'X doesn't want to do something now'. The meaning of sensation verbs is analyzed by selecting verbs that can represent other verbs.
