| dc.description.abstract | Patterns of interaction in society can not always run in a balanced and in accordance with the desired. Therefore, to overcome and improve a harmonious life, social criticism is needed which aims to express dissatisfaction with something that is considered incorrect, unfair, or detrimental to society or groups. This study aims to describe the types of social criticism seen from the social problems contained in the novel Tarian Bumi by Oka Rusmini using the study of the sociology of literature. This study uses a qualitative descriptive method with a focus on social criticism in the novel Tarian Bumi by Oka Rusmini. The data collection technique used in this study started with reading novels and taking notes. The data analysis technique in this study starts from classifying and describing the data. The results of this study indicate that there are types of social criticism that occur in the novel Tarian Bumi by Oka Rusmini (1) social criticism of poverty, (2) social criticism of cultural issues, (3) social criticism of moral issues, (4) social criticism of family issues, (5) social criticism of gender issues, (6) social criticism of religious issues, (7) social criticism of technology issues. | en_US |
