dc.description.abstract | The value of character education is learning that is important for instilling, nurturing, and developing a child's personality so that he becomes a person with dignity and a person with good character. Children's literature is believed to have a contribution to the development of children's personality which plays a role in the framework of character education. The purpose of this study was to describe the educational value of any character contained in the novel Anak Cahaya by Ramaditya Adikara using children's literature studies. The research method used in this study uses a descriptive-qualitative method. The data source used in this research is the novel Children of Light by Ramaditya Adikara. The results of this research are eight values of character education in the novel Children of Light by Ramaditya Adikara, namely: (1) religious, namely carrying out the orders of God Almighty, (2) honest, namely being honest, both in words and deeds ( 3) hard work, namely never giving up, and enthusiasm (4) creative, namely putting forward new ideas, and making new products that are different from existing products (5) curiosity, namely by asking questions (6) friendly, namely not discriminating -distinguish between friends in socializing, and being friendly (7) social care, namely helping people who need help, and (8) responsibility to be accountable for words and deeds. | en_US |
