Nilai Moral dalam Novel Harga Sebuah Percaya Karya Tere Liye: Kajian Sosiologi Sastra

Abstract

Moral values are a benchmark for determining behavior and actions in accordance with the rules of society. Morals are closely related to groups of people, which is why it is important to use sociology. This research aims to determine the moral values in the novel Harga a Confidence by Tere Liye. This research is library research using a descriptive approach. The data source in this research was taken from the entire content of the novel Harga a Confidence by Tere Liye. Data collection techniques were carried out using library study methods and reading and note-taking methods. Data analysis was carried out using Wellek and Warren's theory which focuses on the sociological part of literary works to examine extrinsic elements, namely moral values. From this research, the researcher found that in the novel Harga a Confidence by Tere Liye there are three forms of moral values, namely: (1) Human relationships with God include believing in God's existence and praying to God, (2) Human relationships with themselves include loyalty, politeness, responsibility, working hard, selfconfidence, curiosity, intelligence, never giving up, positive thinking, and personality, and (3) Human relationships with other humans include mutual help, and respect for differences.
