dc.description.abstract | This study aimed to answer the problem of this study by describing doubtness in the character of Sister Aloysius and identifying the factors that caused Sister Aloysius felt self-doubtness at the end of the story in Doubt Movie. The data analysis used 2 (two) of 3 (three) components in Sosial Psychology Theory they are Social Attitude and Social Motive. This study used descriptive qualitative method that generates descriptive data in the form of written or spoken words from people that can be observed. The data of this study were taken from the dialogues of the character Sister Aloysius. The data analysis dealt with the process of data collection, data condensation, data display, and drawing conclusion or verification. By using cognitive aspect and affective aspect in Social Attitude, Sister Aloysius used her logical thinking and her care feeling. In addition, by using Social Motive such as Sociogenetic Motive and Theogenetic Motive, Sister Aloysius also used her understanding of the social or cultural things and as a catholic, she applied the lesson from the Bible. Sister Aloysius felt doubtness several times in the process to solve the problem and at the end of the story after making a decision to transfer out Father Flynn to another parish. Based on the findings, the writer concluded that doubtness is presented in the character of Sister Aloysius happened to Father Flynn action, Mrs. Miller’s words, and self-doubtness. | en_US |
