Kepatuhan dan Pelanggaran Prinsip Kerja Sama Grice pada Podcast Denny Sumargo di Youtube : Kajian Pragmatik

Abstract

This research discusses the compliance and violation of the principle of cooperation with a pragmatic review. This research is expected to fulfill the objectives of 1) describing the compliance and violation of Grice's cooperation principle in Denny Sumargo's podcast on Youtube 2) describing the implicature contained in Denny Sumargo's podcast on Youtube. The type of research used is descriptive qualitative research. The data obtained is not explained with numbers but with an explanatory sentence. The data taken is an utterance that contains compliance and violation of Grice's cooperation principle in Denny Sumargo's podcast. The data source in this research comes from several videos on Denny Sumargo's Youtube.The analysis method used by this research is the exemplary method. The method used for data collection is the listening method and uses the technique of Simak Bebas Libat Cakap (SBLC), then the basic technique used is the technique of Pilah Unsur Penentu (PUP) and uses pragmatic sorting power that uses speech partners as determinants (Kesuma, 2007: 51-53). The theory used is the theory of the principle of cooperation proposed by Paul Grice. Compliance with the principle of cooperation that occurs in Denny Sumargo's podcast tends to the maxim of relevance. Meanwhile, the violation tends to the maxim of quantity. The dominant implicature in Denny Sumargo's podcast is to clarify information.
