Tindak Tutur Direktif dan Komisif pada Pedagang UMKM di Rest Area Jalan Tol MKTT (Medan- Kualanamu-Tebing Tinggi)

Abstract

This study aims to find the types of directive illocutionary speech acts and the types of commissive illocutionary speech acts for UMKM traders in the MKTT Toll Road Rest Area (Medan-Kualanamu-Tebing Tinggi). This research is a type of research that is descriptive qualitative, which emphasizes the use of data obtained from the field. The research procedure produces descriptive data in the form of spoken words from the observed traders. The data of this study are speech data of UMKM traders in the MKTT Toll Road Rest Area (Medan-Kualanamu-Tebing Tinggi) which are indicated to contain directive illocutionary speech acts and commissive illocutionary speech acts. The data analysis technique was carried out through several stages, namely: data transcription, data classification, and description stage. The results of the study show that the types of directive speech acts used by UMKM traders in the MKTT Toll Road Rest Area (Medan-Kualanamu-Tebing Tinggi) include: requests, questions, orders, granting permits, and advice. While the types of commissive speech acts used by UMKM traders in the MKTT Toll Road Rest Area (Medan-Kualanamu-Tebing Tinggi) include promising and offering.
