Guna Wari-Wari Karo pada Kalender Karo : Kajian Antropolinguistik

Abstract

This research is qualitative research which aims to determine the cultural meaning and cultural values found in Guna Wari-Wari Karo. The approach used in reviewing research is an anthropolinguistic approach. The aim of this research is to find out the meaning of the Guna Wari-Wari Karo lexicon on the Karo calendar and the cultural values contained in the Guna Wari-Wari Karo on the Karo calendar. The people in Kuta Mbaru Village, Munte District, still use the Karo calendar system to determine the implementation of activities or traditional events according to the meaning that will be carried out. The calendar names on the Karo calendar that researchers found from respondent data starting from the 1st to the 30th have their own meaning for the Karo people. The Guna Wari-Wari Karo lexicon contains conceptual meanings which are grouped based on words and phrases and then grouped again based on aspects of embodiment and cultural aspects. The cultural values contained in the Guna Wari-Wari Karo on the Karo Calendar are the value of harmony and conflict resolution, the cultural value of politeness, the cultural value of preservation and local wisdom and the cultural value of positive thinking and gratitude
