Hubungan Pasang Surut terhadap Struktur Komunitas Bentos di Danau Anak Laut Kabupaten Aceh Singkil

Abstract

Anak Laut Lake is one of the lakes located on the coast of Aceh which is used by the community, among others, as a water tourism area with fishing, diving, recreation, and Fish Landing Base (PPI). With its position directly connected to the sea, this lake has a high level of mixing between fresh water and seawater. It will affect the level of salinity, current speed, tides, and types of biota that inhabit the lake. One type of biota that is affected by lake conditions is benthos biota. Therefore, this research aims to determine the structure of the benthos community and the relationship between benthos diversity and water quality parameters. This research was conducted in March-April 2023 by taking samples at 4 stations using the purposive sampling method with the help of a 1x1 m plot. The average value of benthic diversity obtained based on research results is 0.85-1.95, which is included in the low to medium category. The relationship between benthos diversity and water quality parameters based on PCA analysis in Anak Laut Lake positively correlates with temperature, brightness, depth, current velocity, water level, pH, salinity, and DO. Meanwhile, the waters of Lake Anak Laut have a negative correlation with organic C, nitrate, phosphate, and TSS.
