dc.description.abstract | Irrigation is a process of artificially applying water to the soil for the growth
o f agricultural crops in the world of modern agriculture, but currently there are
certainly many types of irrigation created by humans. Irrigation is also a pattern of
watering plants that requires sufficient water for plants to get a supply of water
accord ing to what is needed. The problem that is often encountered when using
manual irrigation is the limited time to continuously monitor the condition of soil
moisture on agricultural land, in this case the eggplant type. There fore we need a
tool that helps flow the water supply according to the needs of the plants so that
the soil reaches the moisture level needed by the plants. A device is designed to
regulate the supply of water that will flow into the planting medium (soil)
automatically according to the humidity required based on the required soil
moisture value using the STM32 microcontroller as the receiving medium and
providing data to the server. This tool will continue to maintain the value of soil
moisture to keep it according to needs. In this stud y the tool was applied to
eggplant plants, where the required humidity value was 65%. After that each
development will be measured such as plant height, leaf width, and fruit that
appears. The results of a comparison of the growth of eggplant plants manual ly
and eggplant plants with a soil moisture sensor with the STM32 microcontroller,
eggplant plant growth will be recorded once a week and carried out for
approximately 3 months | en_US |
