dc.description.abstract | Oleic acid with the chemical formula C18H34O2 is a chemical that has many benefits, one of which is needed by the body to maintain the function and health of the cells in it. Oleic acid also functions as the main energy for cells and is used for the production and biosynthesis of various important compounds in the body. Oleic acid has properties that can soften and moisturize the skin. Oleic acid can be obtained from palm oil.
The design of the Oleic Acid Manufacturing Plant is designed with a production capacity of 60,000 tons/year using raw materials, namely Refined, Bleached, and Deodorized Palm Oil (RBDPO) using the Hydrolysis Reactor process. In this plant design there are two process units, namely the first is the oil hydrolysis unit (Fat Splitting), the second is the fatty acid fractionation unit (Fatty Acid Hydrogenation).
The company in this thesis is planned to be a Limited Liability Company (PT) using a line and staff organizational structure. The total workforce in this factory is 200 people. The factory location is planned to be in the KEK area of Sei Mangkei, Simalungun Regency, North Sumatra, with a total land area of 20,551.2 m2. The water requirement at this plant is planned to be obtained from KEK Sei Mangkei with a total water requirement of 9,261.74 kg/hour.
The results of the economic analysis of this thesis are as follows:
1. Capital Investment (CI) = Rp 3.916.395.490.621,50
2. Total Cost (TC) = Rp 388.390.021.958,11
3. Result sales = Rp 2.599635.894.491,25
4. Profit net = Rp 1.728.812.869.836,68
5. Profit margin (PM) = 45,42 %
6. Break even point (BEP) = 13,00 %
7. Return on investment (ROI) = 44,14 %
8. Pay out time (POT) = 2,27 tahun
9. Return on network (RON) = 73,57 %
Based on the results of the economic analysis, it can be concluded that the oleic acid manufacturing plant from RBDPO is feasible to establish. | en_US |
