Abstract

Soap is a cleaning agent made by reacting an alkaline compound (sodium or potassium) with fatty acids from vegetable oils and or animal fats. The soap formed can be solid, soft or liquid. Soap is produced by the saponification process, namely the hydrolysis of fat into fatty acids and glycerol under alkaline conditions. Soap is an industrial product that is used as a cleaner and wash dirt on the human body and others. The Pre-Design of the Transparent Solid Soap Manufacturing Plant was designed with a production capacity of 6.200 Tons/Year using raw materials, namely Palm Kernel Oil (PKO) with the addition of fragrant Citronella Oil. The factory location is planned to be built in Pelintung Village, Medang Kampai District, Dumai City, Riau Province. The form of business band planned is a limited liability company (PT) and the form of organization is a line and staff organization with the required number of workers of 116 people. The results of the analysis of the economic aspects are : Total Investment Capital Rp. 200.290.513.575,38, Total Production Cost Rp. 423.823.389.396,07, Sales Results Rp. 495.999.820.800, Net Profit Rp. 48.052.326.883,62, Profit Margin (PM) 13,824 %, Break Even Point (BEP) 39,725 %, Return on Investment (ROI) 23,99 %, Pay Out Time (POT) 4,16 tahun, Return on Network (RON) 39,98 %, Internal Rate of Return (IRR) 24,292 .
