This study aims to determine the morphological and agronomic characters of the national variety of cassava produced from mini cuttings in North Sumatra. This research was conducted in an open area on Jalan Pulau Samosir, Tebing Tinggi with an altitude of ± 28 meters above sea level (masl). from January to May 2023. Ten cassava varieties evaluated in this research were V1 (Vati 1), V2 (Vati 2), V3 (Vamas 1), V4 (Malang 6), V5 (Malang 4), V6 (Malang 1), V7 (Adira 1) , V8 (Darul Hidayah), V9 (Adira 4), and V10 (UK 1). The description of morphological character analysis was carried out based on Fukuda et al (2010) and agronomic character was analyzed by randomized block design. Each variety exhibits distinctive characteristics that can distinguish one variety from another, including apical leaf color, petiole color, plant height and plant diameter. Analysis of agronomic characters showed that Malang 1 had higher plant height than other varieties, Malang 6 had a larger stem diameter than other varieties and Vamas 1 had heavier tuber weight comparing with the others.en_US
