The power factor in the power system is very important and must be considered to maintain the stability and continuity of the power system. Power factor problems that arise will affect the decline in power quality and cause excessive power consumption. The power factor value is limited from 0 to 1. If the power factor value is close to 1, the active power value is high and the electrical system will be good. Conversely, if the power factor value is low or close to 0, the active power value is low and the electrical system is bad. When the electrical system has a low power factor or the active power used is small, it will affect the decrease in power quality and increase in the use of electric power. Therefore, a rectifier is needed to overcome power quality problems. The minimum value standard for power factor set by PLN based on the SPLN 70-1 regulation is >0.85. With the use of a rectifier, based on research conducted, the average power factor is good > 0.85, but some are <0.85.en_US
