dc.description.abstractGlucose syrup is a thick and clear liquid with the main component of glucose obtained from starch hydrolysis by chemical or enzymatic. In general, people consume jackfruit, while jackfruit seeds are only thrown away as waste. With high starch content, jackfruit seeds can be used as a raw material for making glucose syrup. The preliminary plant design of glucose syrup from jackfruit seeds using sulfuric acid hydrolysis process is planned to have a production capacity of 5.400 tons/year and 330 days of operation a year. The factory location is planned to be established in Nganjuk Regency, East Java, Indonesia with land area requirement of 12.420 m2. The factory is planned to use a line and staff organizational form with the legal form of Perseroan Terbatas (PT) with the number of employees of 100 people. The results of economic analysis obtained are as follows: • Total Investment Capital = Rp 165.393.995.886,86 • Total Cost of Production = Rp 96.783.176.943,78 • Sales Result = Rp 146.465.763.840 • Net Profit = Rp 34.658.921.773,22 • Profit Margin (PM) = 23,66% • Break Even Point (BEP) = 40,19% • Return On Investment (ROI) = 20,95% • Pay Out Time (POT) = 4,77 tahun • Return On Network (RON) = 34,92% • Internal Rate of Return (IRR) = 27,96% Based on the results of economic analysis, it can be concluded that the glucose syrup from jackfruit seeds manufacturing plant using sulfuric acid hydrolysis process is feasible to be established.en_US
