| dc.description.abstract | The trend of medical tourism is a very potential opportunity to be developed into a
medical tourism destination. Medical tourism creates intense competition between
hospitals in providing quality services and superior products in attracting foreign
patients to come for treatment. However, in Indonesia, especially North Sumatra,
there is still a lack of health facilities that can support medical tourism. Therefore
we need a prospect or idea to present health facilities that can support the trend
of medical tourism with all the potential in North Sumatra. This thesis presents a
question, namely how to design a class B general hospital that facilitates and
creates a hospital with a tourism nuance with a patient-friendly environment. One
of the main efforts that meet the criteria and requirements for medical tourism is
to determine the location according to the potential in the Tourism City of
Pangururan. The research method used in this thesis is a descriptive method,
which presents an explanation of primary and secondary data. The analyzes
carried out to fulfill these data are site analysis, circulation analysis, mass
analysis, building orientation analysis, zoning analysis, spatial relationship
analysis and others. From this analysis it is explained that the design of a type B
Hospital in Pariwsata Pangururan City which meets Medical Tourism standards
on a land area of 3 Ha with with a building area of 26,000m2, has 7 floors the
building uses a void system and double Load circulation, a capacity of 226 beds,
with a double façade (buffer) design. systems). So with such a design it can be
concluded that the design of a hospital with medical tourism facilities in the
