Hospital is a public health service facility for the treatment of disease or prevention of
disease. The activities that occur in the hospital are very busy and crowded so that it
affects the psychological condition of hospital users. One of the healing that can be
done with the environment or commonly called the healing environment. The Healing
Environment concept aims to reduce stress from the environment, connect users with
nature and increase user control. However, there is still a lack of facilities that support
the Healing Environment concept, precisely in North Sumatra. Therefore, it is
necessary to have facilities that can support the implementation of this Healing
Environment. This thesis presents a question, namely how to design a type B hospital
with standard healing environment concepts. The Healing Environment places nature
as the main factor in supporting the healing process. One of those places fulfilling these
standards is the Mirror Beach which has elements of water, wind elements, and other
natural elements. The research method used in this thesis is a descriptive research
method, namely presenting, describing and explaining primary and secondary data
based on existing data and facts. The analysis carried out is site analysis, circulation
analysis, mass analysis, building orientation analysis, zoning analysis, spatial
relationship analysis, etc. From this analysis, that the type B Hospital design meets the
Healing Environment standard which is on a land area of 3,000.00 Ha with a building
area of 23,000.00 m2, 4 floors of the building, has 230 beds, and uses a Space Frame
Structure, it is concluded that the design of the House The type B hospital in the Pantai
Cermin area has met the Healing Environment Implementation Standards, therefore,
answering how to design a Type B Hospital with Standards for the Application of the
Healing Concept environment.
