Power electronics became popular after various conventional arrangements could not meet the needs of the industry. The use of electric power which is increasing day by day causes varied types of loads. Constraints by varying loads cause the electric power factor to be low. One of them is the addition of non-linear loads contributing to a decrease in power factor and can be the cause of the appearance of current and voltage harmonics. This is very disturbing for electrical equipment that operates on sinusoidal voltage waves. Low power factor also affects the overall system capacity. Power factor measurements are made using a cosphimeter. The minimum value standard for power factor set by PLN based on SPLN 70-1 regulation is >0.85. Rectifiers are one example of a non-linear load. The use of rectifiers is one of the causes of a decrease in power factor.en_US
