| dc.description.abstract | This writing originates from the author's interest in how the Medan City health service institution participates in eradicating drug abuse in Medan City. Participation is something that allows for better interaction between stakeholders so that innovative agreements and actions are more likely to be created in the deliberative process as space for listening, learning, reflection and starting a joint action occurs. (Sumarto; in; Sembodo, 2006) This proves that the participation of an institution is important in solving a problem, including the problem of drug abuse. Referring to the Mayor of Medan regulation Number 20 of 2017 regarding the Task Force for Eradication, Prevention, Abuse, and Illicit Drug Trafficking (P4GN). The Medan City Health Office in this case plays the role of Head of the Rehabilitation Task Force who carries out 2 tasks, namely, firstly leading the implementation of support activities for strengthening rehabilitation institutions in the form of assessments of narcotics addicts and abuse, both voluntary and legal processes so that outpatient or inpatient rehabilitation services can be provided at institutions rehabilitation of government agencies or community components. Second, to lead post-rehabilitation activities in the form of post-rehabilitation and assistance services, reintegration into society and further treatment. From the results of this study, it can be seen that the Medan City Health Office plays a very large role in eradicating drug abuse. | en_US |
